Captain Dan Berg
Capt. Dan Berg is a P.A.D.I. Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He has been
diving for 20 years, is a Specialty Instructor in Wreck Diving, Night Diving, Search and
Recovery, Underwater Hunting, Deep Diving, Dry Suit Diving, U/W Metal Detector Hunting,
U/W Archeology, and has written and teaches his own nationally approved Distinctive
Specialties in Shipwreck Research, Shipwreck Sketching and U/W Cinematography.
Capt. Dan is the Author of the original WRECK VALLEY book, a record of shipwrecks off Long Island's South Shore, SHORE DIVER, a diver's guide to Long Island's beach sites, WRECK VALLEY Vol II, a record of shipwrecks off Long Island's South shore and New Jersey, co-author of TROPICAL SHIPWRECKS, a vacationing diver's guide to the Bahamas and Caribbean, and BERMUDA SHIPWRECKS, a vacationing diver's guide to Bermuda's shipwrecks, SHIPWRECK DIVING, a complete diver's handbook to mastering the skills of wreck diving, FLORIDA SHIPWRECKS, the diver's guide to shipwrecks around the state of Florida and the Florida keys, LONG ISLAND SHORE DIVER, NEW JERSEY BEACH DIVER and the SSI WRECK DIVING MANUAL.
Capt. Berg was also the executive producer and host of the DIVE WRECK VALLEY CABLE Television series. His award winning underwater cinematography has been used on a variety of TV shows. Capt Berg currently publishes the SHIPWRECK DIVER Newsletter. Mr. Berg is the owner of Aqua Explorers Inc. and holds four current US Patents for scuba equipment design. More important then anything listed above Capt. Berg is wreck diver dedicated to promoting local North East Wreck Diving.
